Hah, gotcha!
Depending on the poll results, I know I told you that I wouldn’t change the previous design. But I did and I loved how it turned out.
For 2009, we will see this a little more corporate, less blog Monofactor. Of course that will not mean I will have less time for the blog.
Currently the site is in final beta, so please give it a couple of days to come together itself completely. Meanwhile, please let me know if you experience “404″s, browser bugs and anything you find crappy. (more…)

I previously asked for your thoughts on the future direction of Monofactor. Thank you all for your votes and comments.
The poll results show that you love Monofacor’s expanded content. But also, half of the votes gone to “I like the way it is”.
I decided to keep Monofactor as it is, and keep writing more theorical stuff other than giving freebies away (which is not my final word, read the rest=), so my regular readers will keep staying happy. (more…)

As some of you may know, Monofactor is going to be 4 years old in Sept 2008.
This site has been like my other girlfriend, and when it comes to what to do next with it; I’m in struggles deciding which way to choose.
Monofactor happens to be getting more traffic from people I want to make happier, searching my freebies and news content.
On the other hand; there are also a group of select people I consider; keeping an eye on the site for the little more academic and theorical content - which if it was me I would get bothered with seeing the similar popular stuff I can see on most sites -.

You know I have been suffering much from hosting related problems; it affected my productivity in the past. It was when there were site blackouts, downs and delays had me go cold about keeping here up to date.
Since I pretty much solved the technical issues, I’m giving more care about the site.
As of this period being my vacation, I use my time less for my clients but more for my own projects and improvements on monofactor.com.
So here are some bits from what I’m up to lately: (more…)

After my server was doomed, I switched into another dedicated host and Monofactor is back alive at the moment.
As you also may have figured, my server had a crashdown last month. I tried restoring all the blog data but did not have a big luck with it.
So I’m readding my restored blog posts one by one, and new articles coming.
I’m sorry if you guys had “404″ errors trying to access into any content on my site.
Oh and, please wish me luck with new server; this is the 3rd time my visitors and I suffered from hosting services.
PS: Do NOT use Lunarpages for your hosting needs. Ever.
Next on Monofactor: An article about Web Typography and Freelancing Strategies.
Also, a wordpress community theme and new client work is on the way.
I am strongly and persistently spreading the word out for the IE6 Death March 2009 lately.
I think it just won’t die. We have to do something.
One of my colleagues and a select art director in the business, Salih Kucukaga redesigns his website.
