Finally an outsourcing portal for Real Professionals : Serebra Connect

Aside from work for my payroll at the institute, I’ve also been freelancing for about 6 years. The most disturbing thing when I was using the numerous freelancing portals was the lack of features to differentiate the classified professional and amateur service providers/freelancers.

This is causing the low quality but cheap service being accidentaly demanded a lot, which also make the clients never really satisfied with the result. And the people bidding $10 for logo creation and template editing save their days for a time being.

There had to be a way for clients to elect the classified professionals.

Among other freelance portals, now there is one new service for outsourcing projects and freelancing online: Serebra Connect

Serebra Connect

How does it Work?

When signing up, Serebra Connect offers for a free exam on the area you’re skilled with.

In order to submit bids on the projects matching your skills after signing up, you will need to score at least 50 from the certifying exam for your skill.

Let’s say you’re signing up to bid on the web design projects. There will be a list of exams to pass before signing up (example:Flash for Websites). When you pass an exam, you will get certified by Serebra Connect and the bidding for the project on the related skill set will be available to you.

Pretty lovely I must say; this might enable us giving more accurate bids on the projects and happier clients outsourcing projects to freelancers with complacency.

Thanks, Onur! I think I’ll give it a try. I’ve been using Elance, where you can find some high profile clients from time to time.
